Maintenance Technician

Observes mechanical devices in operation, listens to their sounds, feels the temperature or other sensible methods to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction. Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and/or repair parts. Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Ensures that the plant workplace is safe at all times and complies with Florim and OSHA safety standards. Adhere to all safety regulations, complete all safety training and wear all safety equipment per related safety SOP'S. Pay Range: $18- $24 Minimum Requirements: One year certificate from college or technical school; and a minimum of one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
